Namche Bazaar is big enough to have a post office. But trying to find is was a chore. it was literally just a hole in the wall. You had to step through the hole into a storage area than had bags of rice stacked against one wall. Then you had to find the stairs in the dark, make your way up, and talk to the little guy sitting behind the desk on the second floor. People are so poor in Nepal that they will remove the stamps from letters and resell them. You have to be firm that you want the stamps placed on the letters and then franced. It takes a few minutes before he realises that you aren't leaving until he does it. To be fair, all the postcards we sent from Namche arrived before the one we had sent from Kathmandu 2 weeks earlier.
